FA Cup Reprieve for Under 18's
FA kick Portishead out of Cup.
Portishead's decision to field an ineligible player in the FA Youth Cup tie played at Lydney has backfired on them. They won the game 2-1 in contraversial style with a stoppage time goal after equalising from a throw-in that should have been awarded to Lydney. But the goal has now counted for nothing as the FA have since found out about an unregistered player on the night and have ejected them from the competition. This now means that Town Under 18's are due to face Newport County away on Monday Oct.3rd
