3rds & 4ths go out of County Cup

Both 3rd and 4th team managers had no excuses when their sides were knocked out of the County Cups yesterday.

After some fine wins to reach the latter stages, Dan said he felt that Newent Town `A` had a few ringers in their team, but ultimately agreed that the they were the better side on the day.
One consolation was he thought that Dan Baldwin's chest control and volley was the goal of the day, and brought us back into the game at 1-1. It proved not to be enough and the home side scored twice more to win the game.

Nelly also agreed that Whitminster were the better side, although his team didn't start playing until we were 2 down with 70 minutes gone. James Hodgson scored our consolation goal.

Having also enjoyed the ride with some great wins up to the quarter final, it was disappointing to go out in such fashion. These cups runs don't come around that often and you can't afford to have an off day when you are that close.
Both sides have to move on and continue to bag more points in the league.
