Another Wines hattrick as Reserves hit 6

After the tired and disappointing defeat at Whitecroft on Tuesday night the Reserves were freshened up a little with the extra legs of Sam Elliott and Ross Gabriel, who started on the bench. I say fresh very lightly as they were not long back after the Portugal tour!!

The game wasn't too much of a contest as the lads scored freely on the night. Sam Wines finished off the season in style. Continuing to find the net as in recent weeks Town's striker hit another hattrick to take his impressive tally to 22 goals from 25 appearances.

The others came from Billy and Charlie, along with another yellow!! Dec chipped to take the total to 6.
Ethan Wilkins replied for the hosts.
The side finished in a creditable 7th spot following a run of games where they couldn't buy a win. We lost to quite a few teams we should never lose to, but confidence during that period was the lowest i have seen for a long time.

The season's horrific weather didn't help with complete months without a game.

Another bright note was the 3rd team managed to avoid the drop too. A final last game 2-1 home win against Mushet & Coalway earned them enough points to escape the bottom 3. Billy and Jarred scored the goals. Well done to Geordie for rallying the troops towards the end of the season.

The 4th team finished 5th in their league with a total of 44 points.
They also strung together 13 wins, something they have never done since they were formed! Big well done to Dan and the lads who also helped out the sides above when required.

Next season we go again, fresh start and all that.
Have a good summer.
