The game of the day was at leaders Longlevens AFC for the visit of second placed Lydney Town. It proved to be a “Close Encounter of the Third Kind”. Three goals a piece, O’Connor (2) and Martin for Longlevens cancelled out by Elliot, Kear and Halford for Town.

Third placed Tuffley Rovers welcomed Letcombe from the foot of the table. They looked comfortable at half time with Warren Man, Brett James and Courtney Hamilton all finding the net, but lowly Letcombe fought back in the second half with Dan Hoskin and Tom Stone (penalty) making the score sheet.

Cirencester Town Development in fifth place welcomed mid-table Clanfield. Shane Bumphrey scored twice for the “Centurions”, with Danny Gudger and Robbie James also netting, Shannon Pocock netted Clanfield’s two goals.

In mid table New College Swindon hosted Hook Norton from two places and six points above, Jon Eyre scored the only goal of the game for “Hooky” in the fourth minute of play.
Third bottom Tytherington Rocks greeted Carterton from two places and two points above. A goal less stalemate was the outcome, leaving both sides ‘as is’ in the table.

As for us, the Reserves were held at home by a poor Quedgeley side. According to Shabba we had enough chances to win 2 games but had to settle for a rare header from Harry to grab us a point. There was no man of the match but plenty of contenders for Dick of the Day!!

The 3rd team got back to winning ways with a 2-1 home win against Utd Longhope. On target once again was Scotty Burrows with Tobias adding a second.
The 4th team were without a game.
