Windsor end year with a win
Late Blake goal not enough
Still unravelling the events of Boxing Day Windsor manger Mick Woodham made 4 changes to the starting line up with Adewale Oshilaja, Matthew Stockill, Riccardo Cannon and Gus Bowels all starting. Paul Coyne, Luke Brooks-Simth and George Gould slipped to the bench with Barry Hales Suspended.
The hosts didn't take too long to establish a lead. Jack Denton's perfectly flighted free kick found the head of Andrew Ingram who headed past Richard Thomas.
Just 10 minutes late and the lead was doubled when Denton was againt the provider from a corner setting up Riccardo Cannon to head in.
The match should have been over by half time when Daniel Morgan pulled down Gus Bowles earning Windsor a penalty. Kieran Knight stepped up only for his spot kick to go over the bar.
Knight did have the ball in the net minutes later only for the clebrations to be cut short by the assistants flag.
Thomas continued to be the busier of the two keepers in the second half with efforts from Bradley Pearce, Knight and Bowles all needing dealing with.
It was the visitors that set up a nervy last few minutes for Windsor when substitue Cian Blake popped up to turn in Morgan's long throw.
Despite the late strike, Windsor managed to hold on to for 3 very valuable points.
