Despite being significantly junior in terms of years, The Blues continued last season's dominance with a convincing win over Alloa in windy conditions. It quickly became apparent that both sides were suffering from a degree of rustiness after the summer break but Madras took their chances early and quickly put the game out of Alloa's grasp, dominating in both the set piece and out-wide. With 8 tries and 3 conversions there was much to please coaches and players alike, there is however work to do before the slick, free-flowing standard of rugby of last season is achieved. Gareth Clark and Andrew Hodge lead the try-scoring ranks with 3 & 2 respectively. Well done to all, see you at training.
