A fantastic line up with teams travelling from as far as Ayr and Aberdeen setting the scene for what was to be a brilliant day of rugby. The P5 team comprised of Finlay Foulkes, Finlay Duncan, Scott Christie, Connor Harcus, Angus McCallum
, Tom Pendry, Liam O’Broin, Josh Malherbe, Logan Parsons and Callum Cook. The team played well for the first match against a strong Stewart’s Melville team managing to secure a 4 -4 draw on their campaign trail. Melrose next proved to be a tough match with a determined side beating the home team 7-4. Undeterred Madrascals dug deep and put their hard training into action securing a crucial win against Edinburgh Accies, 9-5. With the possibility of a place in the finals Madrascals had a tough match against Heriots, the team pulled together and with some fantastic tackling and tries winning 8-5 earning themselves a place in the runners up final. The final against Ayr was a close match with both teams pulling together with brilliant displays of rugby and teamwork ending on close victory for Ayr 8-6. A tremendous result for the P5’s who have shown commitment and hard work throughout and well done also to Logan Parsons who won the P5 Players Award.
