First time u10s play 11 a side
This was a friendly which has been much anticipated. This was played at u10s training ground, conditions were good however we were without 3 of our key players. This was the first time we have played 11 a side, the first half ended 0-0 with goal chances coming from both sides. The u11s showed there physical strength and some good play but it was the u10s who demonstrated composure on the ball as the game progressed the younger boys started to settle and link play eventually earning us a goal. With 2 minutes to go u11s scored through our defence not closing their attackers down. With a minute to go the u10s pushed forward with great link up play for Tom Rafter to score. All in all, all the boys played great and looked comfortable playing the older side. A big thanks to Neil and his team for the opportunity of playing them.
