Having gone through a difficult pre-season, I would like to congratulate both Mike Joyce and Peter Nolan, aided by their coaching staff, on the quality of their work so far! With only a couple of games gone we look well on track for the season, starting on the 18th August. It was great to see so many new players wearing the Maghull shirt and also coming into the club, after the game last night against Bootle.
Although we lost to a late goal, it would be fair to say, with a bit of luck or better finishing a draw would have been a fair result. I was also happy to see Chris O'Brien back at Maghull, taking in the game.
All of us on the football side, know we have lots of work to do, so watch this space for more signings before the season starts for real.
Looking forward to a tough home game tomorrow, kick off 3pm, against a strong South Liverpool. But for now, really enjoying working with Mike and the boys and putting the buzz back into Maghull FC.
