Maidenhead United work in partnership with Maidenhead United Boys & Girls FC (MBGFC).
In the summer of 2003, the clubs joined forces with a Youth team being created that uses the personnel of MBGFC and the facilities at York Road. The team plays in the Allied Counties Youth League, winning the Southern Division title to return to the Premier Division in May 2009. Two Youth team players, Lee Barney and Ryan Jones are currently in the first team squad. Next season it is planned to extend opportunities for those MBGFC alumni who are too old for Youth football by creating an MUFC reserve for them which will play in a local Saturday league.
In the summer of 2008 a Senior Ladies team was created at York Road. This provides opportunities for MBGFC girls who are too old for Youth football.
The younger age groups at MBGFC have often acted as mascots for first team games and many are members of the Junior Magpies, a membership scheme which gives free entry to Blue Square South games to under 16s.
This season the link between the two organisations was neatly sealed when MUFC Chairman Peter Griffin took responsibility for one of the youngest MBGFC teams which contains his eldest son Jack.
