Dev broadens attacking options with Akintunde signing

5 months ago By Steve Jinman

Alan Devonshire has signed striker James Akintunde from Chester.

Twenty two year old James started his career at Cambridge United, graduating from the U's youth system before making his first team debut.
After loan spells at Sudbury and Histon, Akintunde moved to the Deva Stadium in the summer of 2016, and went on to make 48 Vanarama National League appearances for the Seals over the next two seasons, scoring twelve goals. He also provided the assist for Chester's opening goal against the Magpies in the 2-0 defeat in the north west last September.
James will join fellow summer attacking signings Ryan Bird, Herson Alves and Max Worsfold at pre season training which starts at the end of the month.
