No Maidenhead United FC move for Pacquette

Richard Pacquette will not be rejoining the team despite turning out for the Magpies during their pre-season friendly with AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday

Richard Pacquette will not be rejoining Maidenhead United despite turning out for the Magpies during their pre-season friendly with AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday night.
The striker, who has enjoyed three successful spells at York Road, has been training with the club throughout the summer.
He came off the bench during the second half of Tuesday’s 3-1 defeat but United boss Johnson Hippolyte insists he will not be available when the Blue Square South starts on August 18.
He said:“Richard has had quite a few offers but he’s just biding his time.
“I think he’s had offers from two Conference clubs and two from our league.
“But he’s not rushing things, he’s waiting for the right offer.
“We love Richard here so when he rings and asks if he can get fit with us during the summer we’re not going to say no, he’s done enough favours for us.”
He added:“We won’t be signing him, we can’t afford him.
“Obviously we would love to have him on board but it’s not going to happen.”
Another familiar face on the substitutes bench on Tuesday night was Anthony Thomas.
The attacker, who started the season with United last year, has also be training with the Magpies during the summer.
“Thomo is in a slightly different position to Richard, said Hippolyte.” “He hasn’t had many offers.
“I’ve said to him that we can’t really offer him anything at the moment.
“But he wants to train and try and nick a spot. If someone is injured going into the season then maybe we might be able to do something.
“But really we’re done and dusted in terms of our team. We just need a to promote a couple of youngsters to bolster the squad.”
