The defensive unit continued from where they left off on Saturday against Dover, stifling the home team for virtually the whole game. However United were unable to build on this foundation, their best scoring opportunity coming four minutes into stoppage time at the end of the game.
Thus it was Bath who dominated for long periods, Chris Tardif ensuring the score remained level at half time with a superb one handed save to deny Sido Jombarti from close range following good work from Sekani Simpson on the right wing.
The match continued in much the same vein after the break until midway through the second half when Jack Bradshaw was caught in possession by Jombarti. Jombarti slipped a pass to through to Darren Edwards who ran clear to score, giving Tardif no chance with a fine finish.
As the game drew to a close Maidenhead tried everything to equalise, even throwing Nevin Saroya into attack. This almost paid off with seconds left on the clock when a Reis Stanislaus shot from just inside the penalty area was deflected narrowly wide.
