Rising star Alex Wall filled the boots of in-form striker Richard Pacquette Graham Copas reports: Rising star Alex Wall filled the boots of in-form striker Richard Pacquette, who departed York Road on Thursday, by scoring the winner on 90 minutes against Eastbourne Borough today. In a well-matched encounter, which saw the entertainment factor grow as it wore on, both teams enjoyed opportunities to find the back of the net before Wall bagged the last-gasp winner. Having seen his initial swerving shot touched over the bar by Eastbourne keeper Clark Masters, the predatory Wall was on hand to tap in from close range when the keeper could only parry the resulting inswinging corner. It left Boro no time to come back and underlines the Magpies' recent return to form having taken 10 points from their last four matches. On Tuesday, the Magpies are at home again when they face Abingdon United in the Berks & Berks Senior Cup.
