Borough Green Colts played host to Maidstone Rangers at the same pitch Rangers played on last week , in if Maidstone won they would remain on top of the league .

The game got under way with both teams fighting for possession in the early stages of the half , but both midfield and defences soaked up any threat that was posed .
this was going to be a very tough encounter as Rangers opposition have only lost twice in the league , and are hovering just below the top three teams .But shortly after 7 mins their defence was breached in which it allowed Deon Oldrey to fire towards goal but james brooker stabbed the ball home from a deflection . Both teams managed to plug away from a very heavy pitch , and shortly afterwards Colts scored in which seemed to be a very tight call . This seemed to spur Colts on as they searched to make it an advantage going into the second half , but with some great defending and goalkeeping the teams went in 1-1 .

The second half started much the same with colts playing slightly downhill , and with Rangers seemingly half asleep still , they managed to creep inside the box to put the host 2-1 up . It was not Rangers day as time after time , they had a lot of decisions not going their way in which the host added a further 2 goals.

In the end it was a great relief to hear the final whistle as nothing was going Rangers way and it could have ended up a worse scoreline in which it did not deflect in the game as rangers did play some good football .

With this defeat , the table has now opened up a four horse race to the title and it should be a very exciting run in to the end. Rangers do have a slight advantage as their remaining games are now all against lowly opposition and next week they play Longfield Tigers at home.

Despite the errors , the team is more then capable to bounce back and keep the team spirit going ! well done team .
