Malvern v Rugby Lions
Saturday 18th February 2.15pm High flying Lions come to Spring Lane
We welcome runaway leaders Rugby Lions to Spring Lane. Having dropped down the league structure over the last few years they are currently undergoing a resurgence with the backing of former player Mike Aland, who has brought in former Leicester Tigers and Leeds duo Andy Key and Neil Back to run the team. Having signed several high-profile players, including England 7s star Ben Gollings, they aim to get back into the upper reaches of the leagues, as befits a team representing the birthplace of Rugby Football.
We hope that supporters of both sides enjoy the day. To cater for a larger crowd than normal, we have arranged for an additional outside bar plus a hog roast. We are holding a sold-out pre-match lunch with former British Lion and Wales international Colin Charvis as guest speaker.
To cope with the extra traffic Morgan Motors has kindly given us additional parking space in their own car park and club members will act as stewards to ensure as little disruption to our neighbours as possible.
