U15's Get on Their Bikes!!
Malvern Under 15’s cycled to Torquay and back on Saturday, without leaving Malvern.
The squad is raising funds for their end of season tour to Devon and organised a sponsored event at Dyson Perrins School on Saturday morning. Under the watchful supervision of Paul Essenhigh, they cycled, ran or walked in a relay to cover the 310 mile distance of the return trip to their intended base in Torquay. The ‘trip’ required a total of almost 6000 circuits of the Dyson Perrins outdoor courts.
Although this event was primarily for tour funds, the squad is also raising money for charity this year. Their aim is to raise £1,000 for Help for Heroes before the end of the season and the next step towards that target will be a bag packing day at a local supermarket at the end of this month.
