Manchester Colt wins ENGLAND selection

In the Divisional Rugby Festival last weekend in Coventry, James Flynn has secured a place in the U18 England Squad as a result of his performances.

After gaining selection for the North of England divisional team in recent months, he was in the starting lineup for the first game on Friday and played 3/4s of the game.

Flynny played pretty well given the opposition, the South West, who have never lost to the North, until last Friday.
Final score 32-31 but would have been a lot more but for the woeful kicking which lost out at least 15 points!

On the Sunday, against the Midlands, James was on the bench. He came on about 5 minutes into the second half and delivered a truly scintillating performance. Within minutes he scored the one and only North try and continued to batter the Midlands into submission. The tempo of the game completely changed when he went on and he inspired another North win, 7-5 at the end.

James Flynn, captain of Stockport Grammar 1st XV got the call later on the Sunday evening to say that he had been called into the national 22 man squad.

Hearty Congratulations to Flynny!
