Can I give you a final reminder about the pre-match lunch taking place before the last game of the season V Glossop, on the 12th of April? Tickets are £20 per person to include match entry with a 12.30 meet & 3.00pm KO. All are very welcome.

You will be aware that the club has secured its place in South Lancs / Cheshire Division One for next season, this being a cause for celebration after five successive relegations since the 2008/09 season. This is the result a consolidated effort from our squad and the backup team.

I well recall the 5th September 2009 when we lost 0–148 at home to Esher and the 80+ games we went without a win. When you consider those players who turned out for us week after week, over the previous five seasons knowing before they left home that a battering was almost bound to happen, we have to give them a great deal of respect, alongside the coaches past & present and the backroom staff. Thanks Gents, as MRC wouldn’t have survived without you; other clubs did not.

Perhaps MRC will now get publicity for its success, rather than its sorrows.

Please make every effort to be there on the 12th to give the players and coaches a big boost whilst we look forward to next season.
