The best way to keep up to date with Manchester Village Spartans RUFC

Our 3rd XV Captain on benefits of being a Manchester Village Spartan

5 months ago By Yosh Tazaki

"We come here because we want to play rugby and not worry about all the other things."

“"Just enjoy it"” Liam - Manchester Village Spartan Player 2nd XV

We've launched a series of small videos featuring different players around the club giving their opinions on why they're Spartans and the good it brings to them.

Starting with our 3rd team captain, John, the players tell of the support and camaraderie they receive from their teammates; how our inclusive club has enabled them to concentrate on learning a new sport in a friendly and progressive-thinking club environment irrespective of their sexuality or gender; and how the Spartans have helped them learn and develop as people amongst a new group of friends.

Keep an eye out for the videos over the course of January as we promote our free introductory training sessions for brand new starters - many of whom may never have touched a rugby ball before in their lives or who may be returning to rugby after a break due to moving location, careers or study.
