MANOR Park RFC is calling on the support of businesses small, medium and large to help back their cause ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.

We have a group of very loyal sponsors who see the benefit of backing this unique rugby club
- Bobby Bridge, sponsorship secretary

The Griff and Coton-based club has a new head coach at the helm in Kevin Venus and a new captain in Chris Goode – as the club bids to bounce back following last season’s relegation.
The Midlands 4 West South outfit is seeking new sponsors, from as little an input as £50, to get on board and support the club to help provide a better offering for its army of players.
“We have a group of very loyal sponsors who see the benefit of backing this unique rugby club,” said sponsorship secretary Bobby Bridge. “But there is always a need for more help and we are extending that offer to tradesmen in the town, shops, businesses and even people with contacts to bigger firms in and around the town.
“Money that comes into the club isn’t going into players’ pockets, the lads pay to play, it goes towards providing better facilities and equipment so there’s a better environment for the players to play the game they love.”
Manor Park’s current sponsors are Bates Timber, Lyson Design, The Royal Oak (Stockingford) and The Crew (Queens Road).
But Bridge believes there is scope for more firms to get involved.
He added: “The club has the best social scene for any rugby club in the area and we regularly hold meal nights, which any pub/restaurant in the area will see the reward from if they pledge to support us financially.
“We have a website which attracts large amounts of hits together with our social media sites and we are well covered by the local press, plus there are numerous other benefits to backing this club.”
