The Queens Road-based bar has sponsored brand new shirts to help inspire the side to glory in its debut Warwickshire Six campaign.
“The club has a great set of lads and we wanted to get on board and help them out this season,” said Rich Burlingham, owner of The Crew. “Manor Park RFC provide rugby for lads of all abilities and that appealed to us.
“But they also have a great social scene and that ties in great with what we offer at The Crew.”
The shirts sport a re-design of Manor Park’s traditional black and red hoops and are produced by manufacturers Zoo.
After years of attracting a growing amount of players for a series of friendly games, Park’s thirds are entering a league for the first time under the guidance of captain Ian King.
Club press officer Bobby Bridge, said: “It’s massive for us to get another sponsor on board, we are extremely grateful for The Crew’s generosity.
“The third team is going from strength to strength, giving players of all abilities a game of rugby and they have developed a bond which will only grow stronger with their own kit.
“More and more players are showing an interest in joining our threes, it’s a great environment to get back into playing – whether it be since your school days or following initial retirement from playing.”
Full credit for attracting the sponsorship lies with Ian King, and treasurer Nik Gajic for making it a reality with ordering etc.
The club has attracted sponsorship from Bates Timber, The Royal Oak, Victory Beers and Tunnel Inns Brewery this season.
So lads, please keep your ears and eyes open to new sponsorship avenues, there are always things that we need!!!
