I Pulled a bird by saying I am an underwater fireman

You may be wondering what the tagline means ? I'll touch on that later. Yesterday summed up everything that's great about this club in that most of us don't just spend weekends together but most nights of the week and that bond was evident on the field yesterday. No matter who it is in our side when one of our own is getting stick from the opposition we all give it back and I would say that went a very long way towards us winning the match yesterday, that team spirit opitimized in the dressing room afterwards will take us a long way this season.

I have to say some of the banter flying around yesterday was the best i've witnessed in my 4 years in the side, with Rob Townsends boring tweets coming in for particular target; summed up perfectly by the coach who commented thank god that dissertations done. Frasers inability to tie his shoe lace resulted in a well deserved fine for him. The most memorable had to be saved for last with the great man Adam Dobb talking us through how he managed to woo a women in town by talking her through his dangerous and exciting profession as an underwater fireman... It's not fair to comment on what state this women must have been in to fall for such a horrific line and I will just conclude that the Dobb is a clear genius for being able to pull of such a statement.

It was good to see the win celebrated properley at Wollaton and back at the club with myself and James Fraser supplying the jugs, Fraser probabley regretting his vow in the team huddle that should we win he will buy the boys 2 jugs. I won't comment on what he planned to do should we have lost.

Great win lads and good charachter shown after the cuckney performance, a performance that was somewhat brightened by the champions clifton also failing to reach a hundred on the same ground.

Until Next time
