Mansfield Rugby Club was the first amateur rugby club in the country to be awarded the Investors in People standard back in May 2000. Following their fourth re-assessment they have again successfully met the criteria.
Chairman Andy Foster said, "There are times when we perhaps forget exactly how much we all do in the pursuit of our ‘hobby’ and it’s not until you start to talk to someone from the outside that you are reminded of all the wonderful work that each and everyone in the club is responsible for. We have something very special in our club and everyone is very proud of what we have achieved. It really is a privilege to contribute to such a fantastic organisation that does so much for people (young and old) in so many ways – in life as well as sport".
