Report by Jack o'Donnell on his experience at Nottingham Rugby game.

Third time lucky for me to be a mascot at Nottingham Rugby after two cancelled games due to frost!

The atmosphere was great from the albeit it small crowd due it being Mother's Day! But I know how to treat my Mum well, and she and Niamh had a good day - especially meeting the players afterwards! They said it had nothing to do with the muscles!

Nottingham had a good victory 30 - 3 against Doncaster Knights. I was nervous and excited waiting in the tunnel but it was a good feeling running out with the crowd cheering. The players were like giants! My Dad felt very small waiting with me as they towered over him! Their Hooker saw me in my Mansfield Rugby Number 2 shirt and smiled at me.

The first half went over 8 minutes as their scrum half kept illegally running around the scrum until he eventually got sent off.

After the match we waited until the players had showered and then I collected all the team's autographs - they were all very friendly. Sadly, Tom Calladine and Ryan Hough weren't playing on Sunday. I also got the coach consultants autograph who is ex international.
