One of the conditions issued by the SAG (Safety Advisory Group) who authorise the event, is that all volunteer helpers must be identified and authorised. Long gone are the days of just turning and going behind the bar to help serve. So please ensure that you are on the registration list for the bar or workstation that you intend to work on. It is essential that you let the person running that section know that you intend to be there to volunteer on Saturday (please don’t just turn up expecting to work on a bar). Most volunteers fall into two main categories:

Bar helpers – Please report to your bar for 6:30pm and you will be issued with a T Shirt by the relevant bar leader. If you are not on the official registration list for that bar, you will not be issued with a T Shirt and therefore not be allowed behind that or any bar.

Stewards & Gate – Please report to the lounge/committee room area for 6:30pm and you will be issued with a high viz tabard and staff badge. Please do not go to your workstation without them.

If you have not already done so, it is essential that you let the following people know that you intend to work on Saturday so you can be added to the registration list:

It would be greatly appreciated if you could go with the intention of staying at your post for the duration. For example, it is no longer acceptable to serve on a bar, leave to go drinking and then return to the bar. You will of course get breaks and refreshments as before but it has been made very clear to us that there is zero tolerance for drinking behind the bar.
