Hares through to semi-final

In a dogged and determined display, March beat Thetford by the only goal to land a spot in the semis of the First Division KO Cup.

In a close game, which became tense and frought, the Hares battled all the way to a fine 1-0 victory.
It was a fair game of football, with the hosts having periods of dominance but failing to finish, but equally we had a number of chances and were just as dangerous at times, but also lacked finish.

But we battled well and defended stoutly, and got the winner in 62 minutes when a Gavin Cooke free-kick from near the left touchline some 35 yds out was met powerfully by the head of ONDRE ODAIN to flash past the keeper. Thetford tried everything to level it, but as they became more frustrated they lost disciplne and could have conceded more as we had a great 10 minute spell near the end. But we held firm and defended bravely to win the day but our hosts had 2 players red-carded near and at the end as their anger spilled over.
