Update from The GER

The final sessions and game of pre-season will take place this week as the Hares ready themselves for Saturday's opening league game at Debenham LC.

A pre-season that started 6 weeks ago, in the middle of June, will come to a close this week as The Hares complete a tough pre-season programme.

With a new management team installed, the task of rebuilding the squad after last seasons top 4 finish has been completed and all that is left is 2 training sessions this week plus a testing game against UCL side Sleaford Town on Tuesday night (kick off 7:45pm at the GER).

The squad will be training tonight at the GER with the management team looking to put last weeks disappointing result against Thorney behind them. With holiday season still in full swing it has been difficult to get all the players together on a consistent basis. However hopes remain high that the newly assembled squad will have a successful season.

Elsewhere work is ongoing to recruit a new Reserve Team Manager, and we are grateful that James Bradshaw has agreed to step up in a caretaker capacity to assist the Reserve team through a series of pre-season friendlies, until a permanent appointment is made.

Our reserve side will be playing away to Wisbech St Mary's on Saturday 18th August, kick-off 3pm and we hope to have news of another fixture for this coming weekend later.
