Mariners thank Widnes FC and Liverpool FA officials for rescheduling game
Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine announces that the Widnes FC v Marine semi-final of the Liverpool FA County Senior Cup has been brought forward to Monday 8th January 2018 with a kick off of 7:45pm. The game will now be played in Crosby at the Marine Travel Arena due to the unavailability of the stadium that Widnes FC play at.
The original game was scheduled for the following Monday 15th January at Widnes FC but the Mariner’s appealed to officials at Widnes FC and the Liverpool FA for the semi-final to be brought forward as they are only returning from their the FA Trophy tie in Dover in the early hours of Sunday the day before that game was to have been played.
Admission to the semi-final game on Monday is £6 for adults and £3 concessions. The half price offers and free admission for children aged 11 and under normally provided for league fixtures are not available for this cup game which is all pay at the turnstiles.

“I would like to place on record our club’s thanks to the officials of both Widnes FC and the Liverpool FA for agreeing to the new arrangements to play this important semi-final game on Monday, a week earlier, at the Marine Travel Arena. It would have been challenging to say the least to expect to play a game the day after returning from Dover.
This will be a great cup tie with the winners reaching the Liverpool FA Senior Cup final and I look forward therefore to welcoming the supporters, players and officials of Widnes FC for what I believe is their first ever visit to the Marine Travel Arena.”
