Laughs roll on at the Arriva Stadium...

Chris Purchase headlines this Friday’s comedy show

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine announces the staging of another Friday night comedy show on Friday 25th July in the Graham Lounge at the Arriva Stadium. The once a month comedy night is being staged throughout the summer months on the last Friday of each month.

Compere and promoter Bob McGill has announced excitedly this week that comedian Chris Purchase is the headline act this month supported by Mark Fitz and Chris Washington. Making his Marine comedy debut is Peter McCormack well known for his other guises at the football club.

Doors open at 8:00pm with the show starting about an hour later. Admission has been moderately priced at just £3. Enquiries can be made by calling 0151-924-1743.

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said:

“Our venture into comedy rolls on with another great value night out for our comedy punters with four acts. Chris Purchase headlines the show with Mark Fitz who appears again after his hilarious show in May in addition to Chris Washington. Making his debut is well known Peter McCormack who is really nuts with this one!
We are looking forward to another really funny show in the Graham Lounge at the Arriva Stadium. MC Bob continues to be a great source of local comedy talent with a mix of younger and experienced acts.
The venue provides a relaxed and comfortable comedy friendly atmosphere and I look forward to the continuance of our monthly comedy nights into the autumn”

Event organiser MC Bob added:

“A real mix of talent on show here this month. Chris Purchase shares his thoughts on living together and the lovable comedian shares his cringing and hilarious tales of love, sex and relationships.
Chris Washington began performing stand-up comedy in 2012, and after nearly 2 years and a few hundred gigs for a host of reputable promoters up and down the country he is fast becoming one of the most sought after new acts on the circuit. With a cheeky Northern charm and hilarious tales it’s clear to see why Chris is flying up the comedy ladder. Supported by the zany Mark Fitz and interesting Peter McCormack we have a show to remember, hopefully!”
