Mariners travel to Ewen Fields tomorrow...

The world's oldest – and still the best – Cup competition takes centre stage again tomorrow as Marine travel to old foes Hyde in the Second Qualifying Round (3pm).

The Conference North Tigers enter the competition at this stage whilst the Mariners saw off Ossett Town at the Arriva Stadium in their first outing, goals from Andy Fowler and Lewis Codling putting their name in to the velvet bag with a 2-1 win.

Hyde have endured a torrid time over the last couple of seasons, being relegated from the Conference Premier without a home win all season, and are currently bottom of the North table. They had an impressive win to break their winless home spell last Saturday, hammering Lowestoft Town 5-1, on the back of an 8-0 cup win at Chadderton.

Meanwhile the Mariners have put together a five match unbeaten run, including a 2-2 draw at Whitby Town last Saturday, both goals from Andy Fowler.

Fowler is rated as 50/50 for tomorrow's game with a niggling hamstring injury, with Matty Williams also sidelined for another week or so.

Marine have added Christian Langos to the squad after finally receiving international clearance for the Congolese striker.

The game is to be played at Hyde's Ewen Fields stadium, postcode SK14 2SB.

Admission is £10 adults, over 65's £6 and under 16's £4.

The MSA are running a coach, leaving the Arriva Stadium at 12.30pm. There are a small number of seats still available, to book via twitter DM @msacommittee, adults £10, children £5.
