Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine announces the staging of its annual golf day at a new venue at nearby West Lancashire Golf Club in Blundellsands. This is the twelfth annual golf day to be held by Marine and is to take place on Monday 3 September 2012.
The West Lancashire Golf Club was founded in 1873 and is among the ten oldest golf clubs in England, and boasts one of the most natural and testing links in the British Isles that is ranked among the UK's top one hundred courses. Imaginative and varied in layout, the course has so much more to offer than simply a wonderful experience of classic links with stunning views of the Mersey Estuary, and the Welsh Mountains.
The West Lancashire Golf Club has hosted Final Qualifying for The Open Championship when it has been played at Royal Liverpool, Royal Lytham and Royal Birkdale and will do so again this summer when the The Open returns to Royal Lytham.
Entry to the Marine Golf Day is £425 per team of four. The tournament is managed by former Marine player and Vice President Brian Verinder and commences with a two tee start just after lunch followed by dinner and presentation of the awards to the tournament winners in the evening. Any new teams interested in entering the tournament should contact Paul Leary on 07855-275722 or by email on firstname.lastname@example.org Information about West Lancashire Golf Club and its superb course and facilities can be found on www.westlancashiregolf.co.uk
