MATCH INFORMATION LINE WILL BE OPEN FROM 10AM - 11AM AND FROM 12NOON - 1PM ON SATURDAY 6TH NOVEMBER - PLEASE CALL 0151 286 9101
Evo-Stik Premier League Marine announces the arrangements for the visit of promotion challengers FC Halifax Town on Saturday 6th November at the Arriva Stadium kicking off at 3:00pm. Admission to the ground is £9 for adults and £5 concessions with no free admission concessions due to the additional police and steward costs on the day.
Admission to the ground for FC Halifax Town supporters will be via turnstiles 1 and 2 on College Rd and for Marine supporters via gates 3 and 4 accessible via the car park to the front of the Stadium. Fans of both clubs are advised to arrive at the ground early to reduce delays at the turnstiles. All turnstiles will open at 1:30pm and from turnstiles 1 and 2 the College Suite will be open for FC Halifax Town fans providing bar, refreshments and toilets. Normal facilities will be available for Marine fans.
The arrangement to segregate fans is in agreement with Merseyside Police and Sefton Council and has been made to assist with the distribution of fans around the ground, to minimise crowd movement at half time and to help with the provision of spectator facilities to both sets of fans. The decision is logistical and has nothing to do with crowd behaviour as the record of the fans from both clubs is very good.
Marine Chairman Paul Leary said:
“I look forward to the visit of FC Halifax Town in what should be an exciting game for the fans of both Clubs. I welcome the players, officials and supporters of FC Halifax Town to the Arriva Stadium and their visit brings back the memories of the famous FA Cup 1st round victory by Marine over Halifax in the early 1990’s. FC Halifax has had a great start to the season and at the moment is in second place in the Evo-Stik league so it will be a very tough game for the Mariners.”
