Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine announces that Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann is the main guest at a fundraising dinner to be staged in the College Suite at the Arriva Stadium on Friday 2nd November 2012.
Hamann had a hugely successful football career with Bayern Munich, Newcastle Utd and Liverpool before retiring from the top flight at Manchester City in 2009.
In his seven year stay at Liverpool he made 191 appearances and was a key part in the famous Champions League winning team in 2005 coming back from a 3-0 half time deficit to win on penalties with Hamann scoring the first.
He also made 59 appearances for Germany from 1997 to 2005. The fundraising event is being organised to help raise further funds towards continued ground improvements at the Arriva Stadium.
Also appearing is internationally renowned comedian John Martin.
