Club retains prospect until 2016...

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Marine announces the signing on contract of young striker Christian Langos.

Langos, 20, joined Marine in the summer and made his first appearance in the FA Cup against Hyde coming on as substitute. He made his first full start in the league game at Nantwich Town earlier this month. After talks with Marine manager Carl Macauley and Club officials over the last week the player agreed to put pen to paper and this took place on the way to Saturday’s game at King’s Lynn Town.

Langos has been a student at the Liverpool FC Foundation Football College at Liverpool University and his contract at Marine now sees the Club securing his services until May 2016.

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said:

“Christian has made a massive impact since being given his opportunity by manager Carl Macauley. He has an amazing talent and pace and without doubt Christian is a great prospect for the future. He works very hard, is quick to learn and deserves this first real chance of a future in professional football. I have no doubt that he will succeed at a much higher level in football and I am sure that his football aspirations will be met.”

Marine Manager Carl Macauley added:

“We are all delighted that Christian has put pen to paper on a contract. He is a talented player with pace, ability and strength in his play. Only 20 years of age, he reminds me of Paul Taylor I had at Vauxhall Motors who we sold to Ipswich and there is no doubt Christian can go up the levels and play in the Football League. He is young, still learning his trade and is a lovely kid who always wants to improve. For sure, one day his dream will come true and he will get his rewards.”
