On Sunday 14th October 2018 - Market Drayton Town FC will proudly host the prestigious FA County Youth Cup game between the Shropshire FA Under 18's and The Isle Of Man FA Under 18 teams.

Kick Off is 12.00

The revival of youth football for players between the ages of 16 and 18 was one of the most important features of the FA's work at the end of the Second World War.

The FA County Youth Cup was established during the 1944-45 season; the FA's aim was to provide representative football for the best young players who had not signed up with a professional club.

Nowadays any player under written contract, including those registered at academies or centres of excellence, is not eligible to play in the FA County Youth Cup. Players Under 18 are eligible to play whether they are at school or playing in Leagues affiliated to County FA's

This game provides everyone with a tremendous opportunity to see these excellent and exciting young players in football action.

Admission is Free
The catering kiosk will be open providing hot and cold drinks together with a selection of hot food.
Please note however that the licensed bar will not be open.
There is plenty of seating and covered stands at the ground.
