It's back to league action today for Drayton following the successful midweek cup exploits at Ellesmere. Drayton are looking for points to ensure relegation safety as early as possible. It's a 12 point gap as it stands with 11 matches to play with Drayton in 18th place.

Stamford are in 16th place with a 2 point advantage over Drayton but do have 3 games in hand. 5 home wins, 3 draws and 5 losses is their home league campaign record so far and they have also had some impressive results in the FA Cup. Holding Wrexham at home to draw they then went and won the replay 3-2 at the Racecourse Ground in a famous victory for the club.

A tough match today for the Drayton boys but they go into the match in good spirits having beaten Whitchurch Alport to reach the final of the TJ Vickers Premier Challenge Cup.
