Market Drayton Town head north-east tomorrow afternoon when they play at Brigg Town in an important Evo-Stik NPL Div 1S fixture.

Drayton are in a poor run of form at present having lost the last 6 league games, scoring just 3 times and conceding 24. The bottom of the league is looking very tight with Drayton holding a slender 2 point advantage over their immediate 2 rivals.

Brigg Town meanwhile are having a torrid season, already relegated and have drawn 2 and lost 26 in the last 28 league games and have suffered some heavy losses. Their last win was a 3-0 success over Coalville Town in September but since then it has been a downward spiral. The danger point is that as they are already relegated they could play without fear and in their last 2 games having conceded just twice on both occasions suggesting a tightening of the defence.

A win tomorrow for Drayton would put a better shine on the league standings and give the team a boost heading into Easter Monday's local derby versus Norton United.

Drayton's destiny is in their own hands but it is worth keeping an eye out for their relegation rivals, Kidsgrove entertain high-flying Spalding United at home and Rainworth travel to Chasetown.

4.50pm tomorrow afternoon we'll know more!
