MDFC suffered an under the weather performance on Saturday as they were comfortably beaten at home by Coalville Town.
Coalville started the brighter of the two sides and took that domination forward to punish Town for some sloppy defending which led to the opening goal on 35mins, as a Town failed to clear a cross which found Ashley Wells at the back post to hammer home the opening goal.
And virtually straight from Towns kick off Coalville showed their sharpness to punish the home side further with a second goal as Cameron Stuart smashed home number 2 from a yard out after yet more calamity defending.
In a gusty afternoon Town failed to take any advantage in the second half that the wind might of offered the Gingerbreads, as they huffed and puffed but just ran short of any quality the've shown in recent weeks. And as Town pushed for a consolation it was only Coallville who were unlucky not to put the game further out of sight with many missed opportunies.
Town have certanly got out of jail this week with other results going their way, but this certainly was a BIG wake up call to put things right quickly with another big game next week away on the 3G at Romulas.
