Reserves host Darlaston FC in final game of the season. NOT ON MAIN PITCH!!

MDTFC Reserves play host to FC Darlaston today at 3pm in their final game of their first season in the West Midlands Regional League Div 2. Due to a pre-arranged game being played on the main pitch this game will be played over the brook on MD Tigers pitch.

It has been a frustrating season all in all with the team finding the league tougher than expected.

Although some of the football has been good results haven't. Dan Pollard and his management team have been frustrated with lack of continuity all season with never being able to play a settled team. The back 4 has changed each game, no settled striker and the engine room (Midfield) has been littered with injuries. The same for most team granted but in a first season it hasn't helped.

That said, Dan and Nick would like to thank the club for supporting them, the volunteers (Tracey Wardle, Pauline Mellor, Mick Murphy and others for helping out on match days. Thanks to Liam Dunphy for squaring all the fixtures away and being the match day secretary, thankless task. Jay Nash for supplying the training kit and washing the kit all season. Big help. Thank you to all who sponsored the team this season who without, it would have been a non starter and lastly to ALL the players who played a part through the season. Well done!!!

Question is; will it continue into next season? Watch this space!!!
