On Saturday 20th January, the First Team make their third journey of the season for the 'Away' League game versus Chasetown.
MDTFC will be certainly looking to get back to winning ways following last week's Home defeat to Carlton Town.
MDTFC have played Chasetown three times this season; winning an Integro Cup Tie, losing an FA Trophy game (less said about that game) and then losing 3-1 to Chasetown at Greenfields in the League.
Chasetown are enjoying a current run of good form and must fancy their chances of getting into the 'play off' positions. The backbone of the Chasetown team includes former MDTFC players James O'Neill, Mike & James O'Reilly and Will Whieldon - the latter having scored 12 goals already this season.
Hopefully Joe Cuff, Stefan Walker and Andre James will be available to add some fire power and start converting the many opportunities that have been created in previous games.
Current League Position of the two teams are as follows:
If other results go in our favour a couple of wins would see us climbing up towards the middle of the table. We are currently 4 points clear of bottom placed Romulus with a game in hand.
Elsewhere in the League, unbeaten Basford head the Table with an incredible 68 points and look well placed to gain automatic promotion.
Wednesday evening the First Team played a friendly versus Wem Town, winning the game 5-1.
Come on Drayton.
