Match Preview - MDTFC v Gresley FC (Saturday 28th April 2018) - A Must Win Massive Game

Saturday 28th April 2018 will see us play our final game of the season, which will be our third game at Greenfields within a period 5 days.

This has certainly been a season of great turmoil at the club both on and off the pitch.

A large number of people supported Martyn's return to the club; what better way to echo that support on Saturday than getting down to Greenfields to cheer and get behind Martyn, his management team and players on Saturday

Victory on Saturday versus Gresley FC would guarantee our survival in this League at Step 4

To play football at Step 4 level is no mean achievement for MDTFC; we operate on the lowest budget in this League and have to compete with clubs that boast much larger resources and support - we are in fact only 4 promotions away from joining the Football League.

We go into Saturday's in a buoyant mood following our victory on Thursday versus Kidsgrove Athletic knowing that victory versus Gresley FC would see us safe in the League; we are therefore in control of our own destiny.

We are one of three clubs that will be playing for League survival on Saturday - our inferior goal difference means that we need to win in our own right rather than relying on the results of Newcastle and Romulus.
