Shropshire FA T J Vickers Premier Cup holders Market Drayton Town FC have been handed a home game advantage in their bid to retain this prestigious Cup.

MDTFC opponents will be Ellesmere Rangers, who play in the WMRL Premier Division; last season they finished in 9th place with a very creditable 64 points

Although Ellesmere play 2 Divisions lower than MDTFC, Manager Martyn Davies and his coaching staff are fully aware that this will be a difficult game and they will therefore be treating Ellesmere Rangers with great respect.

The date of the fixture is to be agreed, but the game must be played before the 31st October. If scores are level at the end of normal time then extra time will be played - with the game going to penalties if the scores are still level after extra time.

16 Clubs from Shropshire participate in this Cup competition
