On a very wet, windy and extremely cold Sunday afternoon, Harborough under 15s faced their stiffest competition yet during their Regional Cup games. Ashfield under 15s have always been a strong team and the Harborough girls knew they would have to play better than ever before to stand a chance of progressing to the next round.

And they did! Pulling several rabbits out of hats and ignoring the icy winds and driving rain (which seems to typify girls rugby matches at Harborough) they won 25-20. Ashfield provided the expected hard game but the Harborough girls played the best they had ever played, gelling as a team and demonstrating awesome support play with exceptional handling skills and running rugby.
