200 Club Rules

  1. The name of the club is the Marlborough RFC 200 Club. Hereafter called "the Club'. The Club is based at Marlborough RFC, Marlborough, Wiltshire

  1. The Club is formed to raise funds for the general purpose of the Marlborough RFC. Hereafter called "the Rugby Club'

  1. Applications for membership of the Club shall be made to the Competition Secretary.

  1. The Club is restricted to 200 members only and will run in periods of one year commencing in September. The Club will be run providing a minimum of 40 members has enrolled. If there are less than 40 members the Club will not be run that year

  1. Subscription rate is £36 annually to be paid by monthly standing order of £3 or cheque for £36. Standing order forms are attached for return to the Competition Secretary, via team captains, if necessary. Entry into the draw will be on completion of payment of the monthly subscription by either method

  1. Each member will be allocated a number from 1 to 200 and this number cannot be changed within the Club

  1. The management of the Club shall be vested in the Committee of the Rugby Club, whose decision shall be final in any matter requiring adjudication. The Committee shall have power to amend or revoke these rules at their absolute discretion

  1. Draws be held on the following basis:

  1. If the club has 50 members but less than 80 at the start of the competition there will be;
  2. 12 Monthly draws of £75 (1st Prize of £50 and 2nd Prize of £25)
  3. 1 annual Christmas draw of £300 (1st Prize of £150, 2nd Prize of £100, 3rd Prize of £50)

  1. If the club has 80 members up to the limit of 200 at the start of the competition there will be;
  2. 12 monthly draws of £150 (1st Prize of £100 and 2nd Prize of £50)
  3. 1 annual Christmas draw of £600 (1st Prize of £300, 2nd Prize of £150, 3rd Prize of £100, 4th Prize of £50)

  1. The Competition Secretary shall arrange as necessary additional draws in the year to ensure that the total prize monies represent 55% of the income, after administrative expenses, made to the club base on the number of members at the start of the year as defined above

  1. The winner of each draw will be notified by e-mail

  1. The Club's accounts will be available for inspection on request to the Hon. Treasurer of the Rugby Club. All surplus income over expenditure shall be paid to the Rugby Club

  1. If necessary the competition will be registered under the Small Gaming and Lotteries legislation
