Marlborough put in a superb performance with an 11 try win against Blandford.
The long journey south did not affect the team as they showed just how positive the club is at the moment. Blandford did exert early pressure but once Amori Nailago started to run the game, the side began to tick. Nailago was always putting players into space and was helped by the commitment of everyone to be in support. Will Grant had a great game at scrum half as did centres Ben Fulton and Russ Westcott. The first try came when, after creating the space with a dummy, he put in captain Jamie Pittams to run at the Blandford defence. A good ruck was setup and won and from the re-cycled ball Joe Tavaga was in to score. Nailago himself scored the second try and further tries by Westcott (2), Lotoahea, Lynd, another for Tavaga, Williamson, Vuira, Pittams followed. Along with 8 conversions by Garth Bari. To the credit of the home team they never gave up trying and a good and well organised defence, marshalled by Fulton, was always there to stop any home score. Particularly pleasing was the discipline of the side and to dramatically reduce recent penalty counts.
