Marlow Rugby players steal the show with Heston Blumenthal!

Heston has a new TV series, called “How to cook like Heston”. In it he visits a number of local organisations and several people from the organisation cook their version of a popular dish in front of the camera.
Heston discusses their recipes and cooking techniques while they are doing so, tastes the finished products, and comments on them. Heston then cooks his own version, describes his choice of ingredients and his method of cooking, and that is tasted by the “amateurs” and they get the opportunity to comment on his effort.
One of the local organisations that Heston chose was Marlow Rugby Club, and the filming took place over two days at the Club in early November. Three of our players cooked for Heston – Jamie Gillespie, Tom Kanchanawat and Mark Robertson – and others were there as “extras”.
I was very proud of the players. Jamie, Tom and Mark all cooked and performed superbly in front of the camera, and the very lively extras had a great time teasing Heston, who took it all really well. Heston was very warm and attentive to everyone and seemed to enjoy himself a lot.
