Marlow HC is excited to announce that we have partnered with Jamie Dwyer - 5 times World Player of the Year and an Olympic Gold Medallist - and his companies JDH and JDH Coaching to run a camp at the club this summer.

Jamie rarely coaches outside Australia and in the UK has launched his coaching business this year to offer a limited number of coaching clinics. Marlow HC will now host all of Jamie’s clinics in the Bucks and Berks area .

We would like to invite you to book a place for the first clinics, which will run on the 12th August and Jamie himself will be coaching on the day. He will also be taking time to discuss how he became the player he is and his secrets of success. There will ample opportunity for each student to ask questions and for autographs.

There will be 2 clinics: 9:30 am-12:30 for 7-10 year olds and 1:30-4:30 for 11-15 year olds. Each clinic has limited places and will cost £30. Jamie will also be handing out two JDH player sponsorships at the end of the afternoon clinic.

These clinics are aimed at developing young hockey players’ 3D skills, game awareness and core skills. It will be enjoyable first and foremost, but in addition aims to develop sporting principles around teamwork, attitude and mental focus. Places are open to ages 7-15 and the coaching will be fun yet challenging therefore you will need to have a passion for hockey, a great sense of humour and be ready to have fun but work hard.

The morning clinic will be focused around developing core skills and having a great time. The afternoon will look to stretch players’ skills and ensure that everyone leaves a better player.
