As you may be aware the Sports Club was recently successful in its planning application for the right to build a new pavilion on our site. A lot of hard work has gone into this process and we are pleased that we have been given the opportunity to upgrade the facilities and enhance the experience at Marlow Sports club for all.

The successful planning application is an exciting step in the further development of Marlow Sports Club for all sections. It does represent however only the first step in the journey to the ultimate goal of enjoying the new facility.

We now have significant funds to raise to build the new facility and the necessary infrastructure. We were advised on previous grant applications to sports bodies that planning application was a prerequisite to success and we will now restart that process. It is unlikely however to provide all the funds necessary.

The club has made very large strides to pay back the debt and costs arising from the land purchase some years ago, we do still however still have approximately £300,000 of debt outstanding. This does severely limit our ability to take on additional commercial lending. We will thus be seeking grants, donations, and any potential sources of funds.

We will be seeking to utilise support from anyone with connections to the sports club who believe they can assist in this process.

We have an exciting opportunity for further development of the Sports Club and look forward to realising this goal as part of the development of all the sections of the Club.
