The Club, Premier league for sport and Middlesbrough Football club in the community have officially launched their newest hockey schools

Marton Furness Hockey club, Middlesbrough Football Club in the community with support from Premier league for sport have officially launched their latest hockey schools.

On a cold and windy December night the juniors from Kings Academy, Laurence Jackson and the club where joined by Middlesbrough goalkeeper, Conner Ripley, Rory the Lion and representatives from Middlesbrough Football club to officially launch the new hockey schools.

The evening was kicked off with a quick photo session before Conner tried his luck at scoring passed junior keeper Jordan Thompson, we'll just say that Conner is better in goal than with a Hockey Stick :-).

The kids then took part in a mini tournament before being awarded certificates for their attendance and a Middlesbrough poster signed by Conner.

The Junior sessions will be continue in the new year should anyone wish to take part (Times below).
We hope to have one of the sessions attended by a GB hockey international (let see how good Jordan is then!) before taking a team down to play in a schools competition leading up to the Olympics

Training Times are..
Monday Nights - 6-7 at Laurence Jackson School, Guisborough
Tuesday Nights - 5.30 - 6.30 at Kings Academy, Coulby Newham
Wednesday Nights - 6-7 @ Teesside University, Middlesbrough

Please check the Junior Teams home page for dates when these sessions will re-commence after the Christmas break
